Who is BeeWitched?

Hello! My name is BeeWitched, and I have been a passionate drag artist in Kingston for 2.5 years. My first performance was in December of 2022 at Rowena Whey's open stage, where I shared the beginnings of what would become my "lore".

Since my heel graced the hard wooden panels of The Grad Club for the first time, I have worked tirelessly to increase the quality of all the facets of my drag persona and performances. Since April of 2023, I have been organizing drag shows with various themes and aiding others with their drag journey's. This intense work ethic has graciously granted me the title of a "spearhead" of the drag community. I am an event organizer, show runner, hostess, makeup artist and much more. Quite a few drag performers have taken inspiration from my style of show running; as I am organized, communicative, timely and ever evolving producer. The tireless work I put into my shows, the community and more has awarded me with multiple awards and a dedicated following!

I consider myself a spearhead of the alternative drag scene specifically; as many of the performances I do are not what is typically expected when you think of a drag show. My passion lies in the deep desire to put all types of drag on display, as drag is much more than the fabulous queens you see on reality TV. As a show runner, I am consistently committed to booking all types of queens, kings, MX, clowns, things, monsters.. the list goes on.

You may ponder of my artistic origins, and with that I bestow the answer of "theatre, drawing, video games, tv shows". Throughout my life, I had always been a creative soul. Every endeavour I dipped my toes into has created the amalgamation that is "BeeWitched".

Since I was young, I have been told constantly that I do not belong or that my identity is not valid. This continues to fuel my energy into changing the minds of those who doubt myself or others in our community. As a bisexual, ADHD fueled, chronically ill cis woman, I will always continue to push the envelope. My drag is a love letter to all the queer kids who are told that being the weird kid isn't okay - I am and always will be the weird kid! My drag persona has intricate lore, accompanied by occasional story telling through videos or voice acting. In summary, my out of drag self is possessed by BeeWitched and the battle is ongoing. The more attention BeeWitched receives, the more powerful they become.

In my performances you can expect tight lip-syncing, fun dance moves, emotional connection and consistent musicality. While haunting performances are my strong suit - I never let a theme hold me back, and I am always willing to try something new. My aura is alluring and you can always see me with gorgeous makeup and freaky coloured contacts.
